Johnny Sirko: Your in a great place to become vegan. One of my favorite restaurants is California Vegan, a Thai restaurant with veggie chicken sate sticks! I know there are a couple in the LA area. San Diego also had 3 restaurants the last time I was there. You can get vegan food at all grocery stores but if you want processed vegan food and frozen food you'll need to go to Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. Good luck. Look at one of your local vegetarian/vegan group websites....Show more

For examples all grocery stores that I have seen carry "Amy's" in both the cans and frozen aisles. Amy's Kitchen (brand) has a lot of vegan food.I really like Boca products too. They are available even in WalMart! Just look in the frozen aisles. Then, if you are in the produce section, there is a lot of things like "Veganai! se" and Vegan Rice Cheese or Vegan Almond Butter....Show more

Any market will have a variety of fruits, veggies, beans, tofu, pasta and grains for sale that you can use to cook your own meals They will also have frozen veggie burgers. Some of them will be vegan.Whole Foods is a good place for a wider variety prepared vegan foods. Frozen, packaged, vegan cheese, vegan "fake meat", etc. Try Trader Joe's too. They are smaller, but have great prices.Neither of these stores are exclusively vegan or vegatarian, so you'll have to read boxes and labels....Show more
