Stevie Kizziar: No your not obligated to go pay the $70 but I would call and cancel the appt. for friday and at the same time tell the shop what your plans are for the car and that for the diagnose they can keep the $30. Also tell them that in the future once you get a new car that you will take it there for the repairs when needed.
Amada Greising: You signed a contract to get the car repaired. You can cancel if he hasn't started the work yet. If he has completed the work, you have to pay him. You can also give him the title to the car if he completed the work and you don't want to pay him. That's up to you.
Luther Plagmann: you should have called him back as soon as you decided to cancel and no you are not obligated to hime if he cannot make the repair there is no contract enforceable. If you dont care about the 30 buvcks fine let it go and finnish your biz best of luck
Shan Lanen: I suppose legally you would be obligated to. Although if he's a nice guy! it won't be an issue. A similar situation happened to me with an auto repair shop in Langley. http://www.minit-tune.com/en/auto_repair_oil_chang...
