Cómo Audicionar para el Factor X

Cómo Audicionar para el Factor X

The X Factor es un programa de televisión increíblemente popular en el que la gente va a audicionar para convertirse en una cantante de éxito en las listas de éxitos de hoy. Han descubierto a Leona Lewis, One Direction, Cher Lloyd, Olly Murs, Little Mix, Fifth Harmony y Rebecca Ferguson.

Vístete y empieza a practicar.

What are some good fundraising ideas my school's Green Club can do?

Norma Marsalis: mother's day is coming up.. how about selling little flowers? or seeds to plant?- you could just sell the little pot holders for the plants also?^that's for any type of fundraiserHow about selling jewerly? you could buy small bracelets with flowers, or animals or something in large quantities and sell them for pretty cheap?those are the two off the top of my head.. good luck (:...Show more

Guy Bonamico: You should all stay home for a year and save the environment from all the petrol that takes you to school and all the lights they use at school and all the heating they use. Then you should take all the salaries of the teachers (who were out of work for the year and that had to sign on) and form the biggest environment club in the UK. Failing that you might take all your clubs money and gambling it on Chelsea winning the FA Cup.

Jimmie Doerfler: You could try an auction of promises - a very green thing to do and you don't rely on badgering peopl! e for prizes! Put out an email or letter to the parents (and on freecycle) asking for donations of promises, this could be a cleaner for 2 hours; a cake baked for a special occasion; help with DIY or gardening. If you are lucky some parents maybe able to offer goods or services from where they work. In the last one I did we had a box in a west end theatre to see a musical; a trip on the london eye; a trip to paris (courtesy of a parent who ran a travel agency) and a trip to the london dungeon. These prizes generated a lots of interest and a lot of money. You could also try a 'Race Night' you can buy these in or do one yourself - You need a DVD or video of some races - these can be horse races, dog races or even silly things like chariots (taken from ben hour) or an old video of a school sports day (obviously not recent ones as people will remember who won lol) you can even do things like snail races lol.now you've got the races you need to sell the horse/dogs etc. you need ! to sell the horses/dogs etc. You do this by working out how ma! ny participants (horses dogs etc) are in each race and draw up a table with the following headingsHorse/Dog/Etc Name Owner Price paidDo this for each race and leave on race for horses to be bought on the night (you can auction the horses off in the middle of the evening)Usually £5 to buy and name a horse is ok but you can do it for less or moreThis is where it is handy to have someone who can set the odd for you. This is where the bought packs (amazon have a good one) are good as they will give the odds for you. But if you know someone who works in a betting shop or casino they should be able to do it for you. Even a trip to your local independent bookmaker could be good as they may be able to do the odds for you - it shouldn't take them too long and they won't have to give you anything to support your cause. On the night you will need a host and a two or three cashiers. You can limit bets or not. But limiting the bets to a max of £5 on a horse is good to do as yo! u won't be paying out more than you get in!For the last race auction the horses as this will yield more money for you as people get caught up in the atmosphere. The last one of these I did gave us a profit of over £500 - not bad when the attendance was around 40 people! - We had also been given a two night trip to Paris so we made that a prize for the owner of the winning horse on the auction race.I did another one to raise funds for someone with cancer and we had such a good turn out we raised nearly £1.5k after paying out for costs. Why not contact BCTV (British Conservation Trust Volunteers) to get some volunteers and ideas - they are dedicated to helping Green projects and are in most areas of London. http://www2.btcv.org.uk/Hope your event goes well....Show more

Basil Blasingame: I'm not trying to belittle your group's intention, so please hear me out. If you are trying to get people to tackle environmental issues, fund raising local money for improvements elsew! here doesn't send a message to the community that something is happenin! g/getting done. Research and address local issues first, you'll find a lot more people will respond to these issues when seeing how they affect what goes on in their neighborhoods. Anyhow, if you're already planting trees, why not try using the existing contacts to find people who are interested in planting trees in their lawns to "adopt" one? if possible, try to network with a citizen forestry group, who are already familiar with city code/soils types that will create naturally mutually beneficial relationships. I can almost guarantee there will be a citizen forestry group nearby that will do what it can to help. Some cities are enforcing tree ordinances, which (to some) is a personal liberties issue. if you guys could promise to have a volunteer core of people to plant then maintain them on a continuous basis (where the citizen forester experience comes into play to help), then everyone truly wins. citizens are compliant with ordinances, properly planted trees grow fo! r a long time to sequester carbon/provide shade and birds, young people gain invaluable experience to the vital roles of things in urban ecosystems and how they change through the seasons (certain trees only prune in certain seasons, leaves drop in the fall, etc.) This would be a costly endeavor initially but if people are willing to sacrifice time, it is a continuous basis for income for organizations such as yours(raking leaves, tree maintenance). It diversifies local ecology and helps save energy/money for people in the long run, everybody truly wins! Think about it.. hell, google it!also: recycling is good, but your green club should look into composting. This way you would have organic nutrients/mulch for all plantings....Show more

Marcel Then: How about a dinner ball/silent auction? The menu could be all organic and locally grown foods (go to your local farmers markets for ideas and caterers that work in a sustainable way). Make sure that it's as green beh! ind the scenes (ie. the cleanup) as it is out in front, by using biodeg! radable/compostable plates, or washing reusable plates in a "green" detergent and committing to compost the food waste instead of just throwing it away. Ask local green artisans and businesses if they would be interested in promoting/selling their wares by auctioning off their services in a silent auction, or donating gift certificates/items to be given away as door-prizes for raffles. You could make a pretty good little bit of money by selling table space to vendors at your event. Put together a presentation of what your club does, make sure it looks good and make sure you enumerate really solid plans to make your visions a reality. People won't donate if they're not sure their money will be used for something good.If you want to lighten the mood, do an outdoor green fair instead and sell table space....Show more

is it better to build or remodel to make a green house.?

Katheryn Skrobacki: it is up to ur financial power but building is better than converting one to green house

Toby Caswell: The best and cheapest thing you can do is insulate better. This can be done with a remodel, or new. The thing about letting those old homes go is, they go to the landfill.

Heidi Creselious: Well in all honestly, the "greener" thing to do would be to reuse the existing structure and remodel it to be more energy efficient. This is because less energy is used to convert and existing structure than to build new.It will also be cheaper, however the headache will be bigger.I highly recommend, better insulation, radiant barrier, better windows and or window energy film. Chris Coggins: i would say build, that way you could make sure that every step! in the construction meets green guidelines.

Decorating cover ideas!? 10 points!?

Elissa Curlin: You can find a number of stencils at a local craft store. If you have acrylic paint at home already, you can anchor the stencil to the notebook and then paint inside the stencil directly onto the book. Or you can spray directly onto the book with your spray paint. Use a couple of colours of paint if you want to, and scatter some glitter across the wet paint if you like. Or you can 'draw' on the wet acrylic paint with a wooden skewer or even an old pen that has run out of ink. You can also press bubble wrap into the paint and get texture that way.Carefully lift off the stencil so your image doesn't smudge while it is wet and allow to dry, overnight is best. Practice first on scratch paper to make sure you have the look you want.As for a title, use the first line of your favourite poem. Or find a quote about poetry that you like:http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/topics/topic_poe...http://www.quotegarden.com/poetry.htmlhttp://www.poetry-online.org/poetry-quote! s.htmHTH...Show more

What is normal laundry room etiquette for idle, unattended, FULL washing machines in a public laundry mat?

Rayford Speziale: Sounds like this person was just being a prick. You're not supposed to leave your laundry unattended anyway, so if someone's left it sitting there and you need the machine, it's only fair that you get to move it to so you can do your own laundry. As far as "etiquette", just be respectful about handling their things. Don't steal any, don't drop it on the floor, etc. But if the person's really concerned about other people touching their laundry, they should just stay there while it washes....Show more

Janeen Perona: This happened to me when I was at halls. I usually take a clean bin bag with me down to the launderette so that if a washing machine/dryer with somebody's load finishes and they don't go to it when I need the machine, I remove the clothing and either put it into the bin bag or on top of the bin bag on top of the washing machine/dryer in question. If someone protests then protest back! And if they get nasty with you, tell them you'll dump i! t on the street and they should be happy you took the time to put it on a clean bag. They should think twice given that you've been courteous to take care of their washing by supplying a bag....Show more

Leisa Brodnex: You were NOT in the wrong for doing what you did. When I lived in my apartment they had signs posted stating that if you were using the laundry room that you were supposed to stay with your laundry. This person didn't stay so to bad for them. Maybe this experience will teach the other person a lesson.

Somer Distilo: I agree with you, you were definitely right to do what you did.

Toby Caswell: You are 100% correct. I have done that many times in my life. The person you had the confrontation with is just ignorant.

Julee Lanham: You were certainly in the right! Everyone else had good answers but I thought I'd share my experience..I live in a building with 3 other apartments - We have one washer and one dryer. I obviously end up coming ! across this problem fairly frequently and although you were to! tally right in what you did.. this is what I often do.As long as the load does not include personal items such as underwear and it's in the dryer.. I take the time to fold their clothes after I take them out. It only takes a second and I find people are less angry to see folded clothes than those in a ball on top of the dryer. This does not work obviously as well if they were in the washer.. but I've found myself paying for their things to be dried and then hoping when they come to gather their things they leave quarters replacing what I've spent. And if they don't.. and you don't do it often, so what it got things out of the way and was only a couple quarters lost. Better than having angry neighbors in my opinion!...Show more

Javier Holsonback: I think you need to be very careful about where you put the wet laundry. I suspect that's what the person's beef was. I'd be very upset if someone put my unattended laundry on a dusty shelf or something. In a dryer would be! totally cool.
