Does anybody know of a contest that has free landscaping as a prize?

Since it's getting close to winter, you might not find too many landscape contests. Lita Thammorongsa: HGTV used to have shows where people got their yards done over for them. I don't know if they still do that. Or call your local garden club. Maybe they could make a club project out of it.
