What are some of the options for meeting the world's rising demand for energy while reducing CO2 emissions?

Minh Lefrancois: problem with all the answers above....they all still contribute CO2 to the emissinos problem. hydrogen, ethanol, burning trash...how do you people think they work? by burning. (combusting) basically they are a source of carbon (C) that burns with oxygen (o2) and that makes c02. hydrogen theoretically has no carbon...but carbon is used in the creation of liquid H2 product.solar, wind...geothermal? okay, how do you make the steel to create these products. Coal....how do you use the coal to make the steel? burn it..make CO2. electricity? where does it come from? power generation. again...coal.its not an easy answer, if you have the answer that helps everyone, you will be rich....Show more

Leif Serabia: wind, sun, maybe even burning trash for fuel. they say hybrid is good but i find that hard to believe.
