Jasper Mangel: If it's your own makeup, get on your computer, let your creativity flow, and put it in your magazine, no worries. If you are talking about putting big company brands in it, you need to get in contact with the marketing departments of those companies. You need to be VERY careful when using the names and products of any company in your magazine without their explicit consent. I don't think companies just let random magazines use their ads, names, etc. They might need you to prove that you will have "x" amount of readership, basically showing that it would be worth their time to put their ad in your magazine. Again, just tread very carefully and don't use anything without permission. I also suggest calling local or national magazines and asking them how to do what your asking.
