Ronnie Panas: I read this in a news story recetnly . People with smart phones or PDAs are now required to pay an enhacnced service charge. You are getting this now. It stinks but you need to go back to a conventional phone to avoid the charges. I would call and complain to get a credit and then replace that phone immediatley that is a $200 a year cost that you do not need or want to pay.
Rosella Figliola: I agree you could call them and ask also it could be one of the new mandatory data charges associated with 3g multimeda phones. If you are using anything other than a basic phone these days (only if you have recently purchased the device you are grandfathered in otherwise) you are required to pay a minimum fee of $9.99 for data on a 3g Multimedia phone or $30 for a smartphone. Since yours is totaling to about $20 I can assu! me that you are either going over the allotted data for the $9.99 price point or you have more than one phone on the plan that qualifies for this charge....Show more
Raven Purl: If you order the ringtone online on your computer and then have it sent to your phone via mms, then that only counts as a pic msg. If you are on your phone browsing for ringtones, you are paying data already whether you download it or not.
